First trackday: what do you need to arrange?
Your first day on a circuit is exciting enough. Here is what to arrange beforehand and how your day begins. You do not need to know everything already: our team will help you get started.
Choose instruction for your first circuit day
Have you never ridden on a circuit? Choose instruction when booking. You will get to know the circuit with guidance, explanations and feedback from your instructor. Even if you have plenty of experience on public roads, start your first circuit day with instruction.
The minimum age to participate is 18. If you are younger, contact us first. You can also participate without a motorcycle licence if you have a racing licence.
Arrange your details before you leave
You receive a confirmation after booking. Practical participant information becomes available later in your account. We will let you know when you can view it. It includes the timetable and arrangements for your trackday.
Check your participant details in advance, enter your emergency contact information (ICE) and sign the digital waiver for the season in which you ride. That way you will not need to do all this at circuit check-in.
Prepare your bike and gear at home
You may participate on a road bike or a track bike, provided it is technically sound and meets the rules for the trackday. Check your bike well before leaving so you still have time to fix anything that needs attention.
Set out your riding suit, helmet, gloves and boots too. A back protector is recommended and may be compulsory at some circuits. Check the packing list and the clothing rules for your trackday before packing.
Check in first, then have your bike inspected
Plan your arrival so you have time to unload, set up your space, check in and have your bike inspected. Follow the timetable in your participant information.
Report to check-in first. There you receive your rider number and transponder sticker. Then take your bike to technical inspection. Wear a helmet when riding in the paddock.
Riding several days within the same event? You only need to check in and have your bike inspected once. After a fall, however, your bike must be inspected again.
Attend the briefing and meet your instructor
The briefing is mandatory. It covers riding arrangements, flags and entering and leaving the track. After that, follow your instructor's and the team's directions for your first session.
Between sessions you have time to drink, eat something and check your bike. Feel free to ask us questions. Whether you are unsure where to go or need help preparing, you do not have to figure it out alone.
